The brief, which was mine
My own wedding. One page, elegant enough to feel like an invitation rather than a form, and useful enough that nobody has to message us asking which airport to fly into.
What I built
Story first, then logistics. A hero that sets the tone, a countdown that does the job an invitation is supposed to do, then everything a guest actually needs: travel with airport options and transfers, where to stay with quick highlights, and an embedded map.
The test was simple. No hunting for the venue address, no guessing which hotel to book, no opening five tabs to work out how to get there.
I also drew a monogram from our initials. It anchored the design and gave us something to carry across invites, signage and thank-you cards, which is the part a template can't do.
Mobile first, fast, and readable on whatever device a guest opens it on, which in practice is a phone on a train.
